An Ebola outbreak has been declared in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with lives at risk as the disease spreads and communities struggle to protect themselves. Families are grieving loved ones while health facilities face severe shortages of equipment, water, and sanitation, leaving both patients and health workers exposed. The DRC Red Cross is providing safe and dignified burials, psychosocial support, infection prevention, and vital hygiene promotion, but urgently needs resources to scale up its response.
