Lebanon: Complex Emergency

Lebanon’s southern border has been the scene of continued conflict since 8 October 2023, with a massive increase in airstrikes and attacks, leading to over 2,710 deaths and 12,592 injuries as of 28 October 2024.

Through this emergency appeal, the IFRC and its membership aim to address the urgent needs of 600,000 people by providing interventions involving healthcare, food security and shelter, as well as support with water, sanitation and hygiene. This appeal will also help scale up the search and rescue capacity of the Lebanese Red Cross.
