Philippines: Earthquake and typhoons
Back-to-back disasters have left millions reeling across the Philippines. Just weeks after a powerful earthquake struck Cebu and Typhoon Tino battered the Visayas, Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong) made multiple landfalls across Luzon on 9 November, unleashing destructive winds, torrential rains, and severe flooding. The storm tore through Catanduanes, the Polillo Islands, and Aurora, triggering landslides, power outages, and transport disruptions across vast areas. The Philippine Red Cross is delivering emergency shelter, clean water, and life-saving relief — but urgent support is needed to reach more families devastated by this series of disasters.
