The Lebanese Red Cross aims to save lives and alleviate human suffering by providing vital health services across Lebanon and preparing for and responding to emergencies and disasters.
Every day, more than 1400 persons benefit from our free health services, provided by our staff and volunteers in all areas of the country, without any discrimination and according to the Fundamental Principles of the International Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.
Following the economic collapse of 2019, all funding by the Lebanese government stopped, and the capacity of people in Lebanon to donate decreased dramatically. We therefore count on donations from those who can make a contribution, in Lebanon or abroad, to help us continue our humanitarian mission.
Every donation is used to support our vital health services:
Emergency Medical Services: our volunteer ambulance crews serve more than 160,000 patients annually, operating the national “140” medical emergency hotline and responding to emergencies and patient transports.
Blood Transfusion Services: our 12 Blood Transfusion Centers serve patients and hospitals across Lebanon, collecting blood donations and providing safe blood products to more than 60,000 patients per year.
Primary Healthcare Services: our 26 Primary Healthcare centers and 8 Mobile Medical Units provide vital community health and social services to more than 300,000 patients annually.
Our ambulance and blood services are provided for free, but do have a cost! We need your support to help us save lives every day!
