The Red Cross has a long Moomin history, as Tove Jansson collaborated with the Red Cross already in the 1940s. Moominvalley became known as a place where doors are open to those in need of shelter and warmth and where no one is too insignificant to be included. Moominhouse symbolizes safety and community, values that are also important to the Red Cross. Now you have the chance to contribute to a safer and more compassionate world. In Sweden and around the world, we help people affected by crises and disasters. We are first to help, last to leave.

How your gift helps

The Red Cross is the world's largest humanitarian movement with 16 million volunteers in almost every country. We help people who need us, no matter who you are or where you come from. When a crisis strikes, we are already there, providing people with food, water and shelter. We help rebuild shattered communities and strengthen people's resilience. In Sweden, we provide care and support to those who have fled and help reunite families. Across the country, Red Cross houses provide humanitarian services, disaster relief, health and social programmes.
