Let’s take them to the sea
Every year, the Slovenian Red Cross, with the help of generous donors, provides a free week of vacation at the RKS Debeli Rtič Health Resort for 1,700 children and 300 older people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
A week of carefree days, socializing, and a sense of equality gives them hope for better and brighter times. Friendships are formed, and many small “miracles” happen — the first independent swimming strokes, the first soccer goals, hitting the bull’s-eye in archery, and for some, the first birthday celebration with a cake and a gift, a boat trip, and the discovery of beautiful natural sights.
Many children and older people cannot afford a vacation. Let’s make them happy and help their dreams come true. Let’s take them to the sea!
